Extremely biased against the Bible. Mega errors, tons of personal Atheistic interpretations of Scripture. Why write a book on biblical archaeology when you don't even believe the Bible. That's like writing a book about the life of George Washington when you don't even believe he existed.
What a fascinating book! For all of those who love archaeology, especially when it pertains to confirming the Scriptures, you will enjoy this. I absolutely love the way Jean-Pierre Isbouts writes! He is very thorough yet not tediously boring, giving many historical traces of the development of cultures, languages, and Empires, using maps and actual photos of the sites and of the finds. I love it!
History of Israel in antiquity, Egypt and the Roman rule over Judea during the life time of Jesus, very vividly described, and supported by many archaeological discoveries makes it a concise and yet very commendable book for any history teacher or student.
