I had to read this for my Medical Record class. The title pretty much speaks for itself...it explains the HIPPA, OSHA, and other government-regulated laws that medical professionals must follow. Each chapter starts with a story about an ethical situations that challenges readers to decide what they would have done in the situation. There are also questions and discussion guides at the end of each chapter. It is a useful textbook for one who needs to know the legal aspects of the medical field.

Good simple book on the laws concerning medicine. The only problem I had is that I bought the fifth edition and the course I was using it for was user the fourth edition which I could have bought for much less.

I was impressed on how thin this book was, because the subject is so in-depth. It is an easy read for the most part, but sometimes it was boring to read. I really liked how the book used legal cases as examples throughout the textbook. After reading this book I have become a lot more aware of my surroundings in the medical field and I know there are serious consequences for breaching patient confidentiality. The review sections after each chapter are extremely helpful in reinforcing information learned in each chapter. I really liked how you were able to learn a lot from only reading a little!

Book needed for school. I feel like I know more about Law and Malpractice cases. Very interesting case studies and very insightful on how the law works.

I needed this book because in the class, there is an e-book that is used. Well, if you do not have a computer at home, this makes reading said e-book more difficult when you add assignments, discussions and your work from another class to it. It came in the condition I expected (used) and I like that the answers are already written in the study guides at the end of the chapters. This is great for me because I can write down the assigned chapter(s) and sit and read when I have the time.

This book is very detailed and very concise. There are not any spelling or grammatical mistakes. It covers everything about medical law and ethics and is up to date.
