This textbook is not very well organized and all over the place with information. the online feature is not user friendly, I ended up purchasing Hogan's textbook for Mental Health and used it instead to help me understand the information.
Had to buy this book for a class however the set up of the book is horrendous! It is not organized logically at all and leaves you searching everywhere for information! They have random inserts of data in places that make no sense and then they have random charts of useless data and then don’t have charts of things that could be useful like meds used to treat these conditions & side effects . If this is not a required book don’t bother with it.
This book has good information, it's just not organized very well. I had to look all over the place to find all of the information (such as history, diagnosis, nursing diagnoses, interventions, treatment) for one disorder.
It's a head shrinking nurse book so I expect it not to be an incredibly stimulating read. However, it was as close to new or new as can be.
Very informative. As a student you need to just be able to understand and pick out the important information. If you have the time, then yes read through everything, but in our very limited time as Nursing students you need to learn to pick through the pieces. GREAT READ!
This textbook gave great explanations of concepts, ideas, the nursing process, etc. The books text isn't organized the best of ways - the content is excellent though!
Very enlightening text book. Psychiatric pharmacology was complex and extensive but complex mental health concepts were well explained.
